FILM HACHIKO

The film “Hachiko – a wonderful friendship” (original title: “Hachi: A Dog’s Tale”) is a heart-warming family film from 2009 based on a true story.

The film tells the story of the Japanese Akita dog Hachiko and his unwavering loyalty to his master, Professor Parker Wilson, played by Richard Gere. One day, Parker finds an abandoned puppy at a railway station and takes it home with him. Although his wife Cate is sceptical at first, Hachiko quickly grows to become a beloved member of the family. Hachiko accompanies Parker to the station every morning and picks him up again every evening. But one day Parker does not return, as he dies at the university. Nevertheless, Hachiko waits for him at the railway station every day for ten years, until his own death. This touching story shows the deep bond and loyalty between man and dog.

The film is a wonderful example of unconditional love and loyalty.
